As far as strength and conditioning go, our philosophy is to look at each athlete through the eyes of maximizing their potential. Although baseball and softball are team sports, the development of each individual is critical to the development of a solid team culture. Health and well being is the focal point. We create an atmosphere that is fun and a positive culture based on experiences in sports and physical activity with emphasis on a growth, confidence, resilience, motivation, self-determination, and a perceived competence.
The entire Mavericks organization looks at long-term development, with mastering the basics of fundamental movements being a key to success. The goal of the Mavericks strength and conditioning program is to create stronger, quicker, faster, high endurance, injury-resistant athletes.
